KWSG Confiscates Unwholesome Cow Meat in Ilorin

  The Confiscated Cow being evacuated from the market The Kwara State Government has confiscated alleged unwholesome cow meat in the Akerebiata Abattoir market in Ilorin. The Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Funke Sokoya said the action was aimed at protecting people from consuming unhealthy meat in the State. Mrs. Sokoya disclosed that one of the core mandates of the Ministry is to protect  public health and safeguard residents from harm in the State. She pleaded with the butchers union and owners of the confiscated meat to cooperate with the staff of the Ministry in all the  slaughter slabs and abattoirs across the State to ensure safe meat for public consumption. The Kwara State Government has again  reintroduced bus palliative support to provide relief to residents of Ilorin Metropolis amidst the current economic challenges in Nigeria.  The Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Governor AbdulRazaq Reintroduces Free Transport Palliative in Kwara

In cushioning the effect of the economic reform of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, the Kwara State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has relaunched free transportation palliative for residents. In a recently released price template by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology, the government declared buses transporting residents from Post Office to Tanke, Unilorin, Oja, Eyenkorin, Amayo, Mandate, Oyun, UITH and Okeose, among others free. The previous price template for these destinations from Post Office, which is the transit hub, was between N300 and N500. For instance, from Post Office to Tanke - Unilorin was N500 while Oyun - UITH - Okeose was fixed at N400 for students, staff and the public. Following the directive of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq, Kwara State Ministry of Health will commence the screening of Kwara citizens for breasts and cervical cancer, with immediate effect, free of charge, across the Sixteen Local Government Areas of the State. The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-lmam stated this over the weekend, during a press session in her office at Fate, in Ilorin metropolis.
