KWSG Commends Society for Family Health on Effective Partnership

The Kwara State Government has commended the Society for Family Health (SFH) for their effective partnership in improving healthcare services in the State.  The Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-lmam made the commendation today at the training session organized by the SFH for their ongoing capacity-building sessions for family planning coordinators and secondary health facilities across the16 Local Government Areas (LGAs). The Kwara State government has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of its residents by shutting down unhygienic eateries that have failed to comply with environmental sanitation standards.  The State's Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge, expressed disappointment during a recent inspection of some eateries in Ilorin metropolis. She lamented that despite repeated warnings, some eateries have refused to comply with environmental laws and maintain proper hygiene.  According to her "we've received complaints from residents about these facilities, and our inspection has revealed that they engage in unacceptable practices, including discharging the untreated waste water from their eateries to the public which is inimical to the healthy living of residents," she said. Kwara Rolls Out Achievements in Health Sector

The Kwara State Government has rolled out its achievements in the health sector within  the second quarter of the year 2024 to include the renovation of primary health care centres, procurement of state of the art medical equipment and training of health workers, among others.
