The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, through the Department of Agricultural Extension Services, in collaboration with the Kwara State Government, has trained 22 extension agents on profitable agricultural practices. The training, which was organized by Small Holders Horticulture Empowerment Project (SHEP), is part of the government's drive at ensuring food security in the state. Declaring the workshop open in Ilorin, the State Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Thomas said the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is passionate about the well-being of kwarans and fully committed to the agricultural sector. The Kwara State Government has announced the commencement of the expansion of Adewole Cottage Hospital, Ilorin, as part of efforts to strengthen the primary health care facilities in the state. The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-lmam, made this known today while interacting with the media crew of the Ministry. According to her, Adewole Cottage Hospital is one of the health care centres that was approved for renovation by the State Government, pointing out that the renovation will not affect service delivery in any form. This is to inform members of the public that the monthly sanitation exercise for the month of June will come up on Saturday, 29th June, 2024 between seven a.m and nine a.m (7:00 am to 9:00 am). It is an offence to dump refuse on pedestrian walkways, road median, drainages, canals, and all other unapproved sites. The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes. It added that registration for the placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) is free, and it closes on Thursday 18th July,2024. The Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA)has promised to give equal opportunities to all the political parties and politicians to paste their campaign posters in the forthcoming Local Government elections in the State. The Kwara State Government has charged the youths to shun the abuse of drugs, with the aim of attaining a drug free society. The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahaman Abdulrasaq stated this during the week, at the commemoration of year 2024 United Nation’s Day against abuse of drugs and illicit drug trafficking, held at the Banquet hall of Government House, Ilorin Kwara State. Kwara State Ministry of Works and Transport has announced different alternative routes to ease traffic congestion as construction works begin on the Post Office-Emir- Road-Isale Oja Roads. The construction work, which had earlier been approved by the cabinet, is part of the urban renewal projects of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's administration.  "We advise that commuters make use of alternative routes in Taiwo Isale, Edun, Obo Road, Niger Road, Opomalu, Centre Igboro, Balogun Fulani, and Bolanta Roads to connect other parts of the Ilorin metropolis while the re-construction is ongoing," according to a statement by the Hon.
