The Kwara State Commissioner of Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has reiterated the importance of Press Secretaries and Information Officers in the dissemination of government's programmes and policies.  Towoju gave this appraisal while speaking with Information Officers at the monthly meeting of the Directorate of Information of the Ministry of Communications, held at the conference room today.  According to him, the job of Information Officers is a crucial one to the development of the state as they are  saddled with the responsibility of creating public awareness about the activities of government. Towoju  reiterated that part of the Governor's willingness to treat the foot soldiers of the Communications Ministry well is evident in the training workshop that was organized for Press Secretaries recently.
