Towoju calls for calm as elections draw near
The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has called on political parties to be united while maintaining peace and orderliness as the general elections approach. Towoju made the call at a stakeholders meeting of all political parties in the State, organized by the Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA), held at the Ministry's conference room today. He said the government of the day is passionate about the security of lives and properties and he pleaded that all acts of thuggery and vandalism should be shunned. The Commissioner said that anyone who acts in an inappropriate manner and causes disorderliness will be made to face the law. Earlier, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Operations), ACP Aniefiok Akpan, submitted that parties should toe the line of peace and urged them to desist from taking laws into their hands, in the case of grievances.
