KWARA FIRST LADY URGES SGBV COMMITTEE TO SUSTAIN ADVOCACY DRIVE
The First Lady of Kwara State, Ambassador (Dr.) Olufolake AbdulRazaq has urged the State Committee on Sexual and Gender-based Violence to sustain advocacy drive on Sexual and Gender-based violence down to the grassroot level. Ambassador Olufolake AbdulRazaq gave the charge in an address during a meeting of the State Committee on Sexual and Gender-based Violence held in her office at the Government House, Ilorin. The First Lady noted that getting accurate data of incidence of gender-based violence would open the committee to deserved interventions and more rewarding engagements of survivors, who completely depend on them to get justice and support. Ambassador AbdulRazaq informed the meeting that the Nigeria Governor's Wives Forum in partnership with the McArthur Foundation, is working on a sexual and gender-based violence national directory and commended the committee for promptly submitting the list from Kwara State to be included in the national directory.
