• We’re committed to rural-urban devt: Gov  Kwara State Executive Council has awarded the construction of the Ile-Ire District Road in Ifelodun local government area of the state, with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq saying the step underlines his administration’s commitment to bring all the agrarian belts closer to the market to fast track socioeconomic development.   The road, which begins at Owode Ofaro, links the largely contiguous district in Ifelodun to Isin local government area of the state.    The council also awarded the upgrade of the Old Yidi Road and AbdulAzeez Attah Road, which are both in terrible shape. The asphaltic surface of these 2 roads will be upgraded to engineering standard with adequate drainage and pedestrian walkways. The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has congratulated the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on the occasion of the " HE for SHE " Award presented to the Governor by the Women Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in recognition of his role in promoting women inclusion and empowerment in Nigeria. In a statement, the Press Secretary of the Ministry, Ayobami Ashaolu, quoted the Commissioner to have described the award as "not coming as a surprise because the Governor is the first Governor in all 36 states to nominate a female majority cabinet and deliberately mainstream gender inclusion in the state.    "Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is for everybody.
