Towoju, Buraimoh call for peaceful electoral conduct

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has called on Kwarans and eligible voters in the country to shun electoral violence and other electoral vices as the country draws nearer to the 2023 elections. Towoju made the call today during a Kwara Tabloid event, "Pre-Election Roundtable" with the theme : "Detriments of Election-Day Apathy", held at the Kwara Hotels, Ilorin. He stated that election period should not be a time of criminality but of "peace and order." Tourism Board to Synergize with Education Ministry to boost tourism

The Kwara State Commissioner of Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has indicated that a harmonious synergy will be built between the Kwara State Hospitality and Tourism Development Board and the State Ministry of Education to increase the patronage of tourist sites and boost revenue for the state.  Towoju gave the indication during a working visit to the Kwara State Hospitality and Tourism Development Board with his management team. He reiterated that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is keen on the development of the state, hence the need to attract investors and tourists to the state through the creation of the Ilorin Visual Arts Centre, an international tourist centre; a project that will be the first of its kind in the state, the country, as well as in West Africa. Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Olabode George Towoju, has  described as  fallacy views in certain quarters that the State Executive Council only holds meetings twice a year. Towoju, who made this assertion on a Radio Kwara programme, disclosed that  the State Executive Council has met not less than twice in the last three weeks and deliberated on issues pertinent to the development of the state. "The insinuations, in certain quarters, that the State Executive Council, under the leadership of Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, does not hold council meetings regularly or meets only twice a year, is pure fallacy. "Such insinuations are the machinations of politically-displaced people seeking any straw to hold in order to remain relevant in the new political configuration of our dear state, Kwara," he said. KWSG Committed To Social Infrastructure Development- Towoju

Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Olabode George Towoju, says the present administration in the state is committed to comprehensive rehabilitation of decayed infrastructure across the state.  The strategic rehabilitations of the infrastructure, according to Towoju, are particularly noticeable in the comprehensive rehabilitation of Water Works, schools and roads. "Since its inauguration in 2019, the administration of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, has shown great commitment to provision and rehabilitation of social services like road, water and qualitative education across the state," he said. Olabode George Towoju, has congratulated the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on the occasion of the " HE for SHE " Award presented to the Governor by the Women Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in recognition of his role in promoting women inclusion and empowerment in Nigeria.
