Ifelodun LG Chair Seeks Partnership in Drug Supply Chain with KW-HMB
To improve the well-being of the people of Ifelodun LG, the Council Chairman has sought to partner with the Hospital Management Board (KW-HMB) in the drugs supply chain system of Kwara State for the availability of cost effective and quality drugs for his people.
The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun local government area of Kwara State, Hon. Femi Yusuf stated this during the official working visit to the Board, Wednesday.
Hon.Yusuf explained that the need to collaborate with the Agency in this regard is expedient in the face of the cost of drugs and other medical consumables in the country.
The erstwhile Chairman of the Kwara State House of Assembly Service Commission emphasized that the partnership would go a long way in improving the well-being of his people both the young and the aged.
He, thereafter, commended the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for living up to the expectations of the good people of Ifelodun local government area and Kwara at large.
"Dr. Malik is a round peg in a round hole who is complimenting the dreams of this administration in providing quality health care service delivery to the people of Kwara". Hon.Yusuf confirmed.
In his response, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Abdulraheem Malik applauded the initiative of Hon. Femi Yusuf and emphasized that the collaboration would be mutually beneficial to both parties.
Dr. Malik urged other council chairmen to emulate the initiative to complement the effort of the Kwara State government in improving healthcare services at the grass root.
He also stressed the need to use cutting-edge technology for effective drug transactions while advising that adequate monitoring and supervision exercises should be the watchword in order to stay in the business.
Malik, therefore, congratulated Hon. Femi Yusuf for the victory in the last local government poll, stating that it was a well-deserved feat, he prayed for him to succeed in piloting the affairs of Ifelodun local government area council.
