All Eyes on Governance: Inter-Ministerial Briefing Holds Tuesday and Wednesday

This is to inform the public that the quarterly inter-ministerial press briefing organised by the Kwara State Ministry of Communications will be held on April 29th and 30th, 2025, to update the public on the achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration across sectors in the first quarter of the year.

This was contained in a press statement issued today by the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju, in her office.

According to the statement, signed by the Ministry’s  Press Secretary, Abeeb Oredunni, the briefing will be held at the Ministry of Finance Conference Room, GRA, Ilorin, the State Capital.

The event will feature Commissioners, Heads of Departments, and Agencies, who will present detailed accounts of their stewardships. The briefing will also cover the government's achievements and policies recorded within the first quarter of 2025.

“The AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration has continued to make visible impacts across key sectors. These achievements have been shared through various platforms. This briefing provides another opportunity for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to address the press jointly. It will give a broad overview of progress made in Q1 2025. The event will also be streamed live on the State Government’s official social media platforms." The statement reads in parts.

"The initiative keeps residents and stakeholders informed about government policies and activities. It also encourages civic participation and promotes the culture of open governance.

The statement therefore encourages members of the public to join the live broadcast and engage with this important event, as the administration continues to prioritize inclusiveness, dialogue, and accountability."

Kwara TESCOM Opens Application Portal for Teaching Jobs

Kwara Govt Okays Conditional Re-opening of Forest for Sawmilers

The Kwara State Government has officially announced the re-opening of forests in the State for sawmilling and forestry related activities with conditions aimed at preserving the forests as crucial natural resources for generations to come.  The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge, as part of the government's position while interacting with officials and key-stakeholders of saw millers, chainsaw operators and plank sellers in the State today. It would be recalled that the forests were declared closed in January 2025 to enhance natural regeneration of the forests and allow the Ministry gainful opportunity to engage relevant stakeholders towards adopting best practices while pursuing economic activities within the forests' terrain.
