Rector Charges Trainees to be Committed

Trainees of International Vocational, Technical and Entrepreneurship College (IVTEC), Ajase Ipo, has been charged to remain focused and be dedicated to their studies, in order to excel in their chosen career and become good ambassadors of their country.

The Rector, Engr. Yaru Salihu gave this charge during the week, at the 14th matriculation ceremony of the college, held at the college campus, Ajase Ipo. 

The occasion witnessed the matriculation of over 222 trainees by the College, being congratulated by the Rector, who made them to understand that, many countries in the world considers entrepreneurship as one of the factors responsible for nation building,  adding that, innovation involves something new as business model, products, ideas or services.

He therefore charged the Trainees to take their studies very seriously, with an appeal that they make good the opportunity availed them by the state who considers them as future leaders.

Dr Yaru, emphasized on the importance of good conduct at all time, warning them to always adhere strictly to college rules and regulations, not to run foul of it.

Yaru expressed his gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, for his commitment to technical and vocational education, as well as human capital development in the state, particularly his support  of the vulnerable, in the area of  Youth Empowerment and Employment Generation. 

He also seized the opportunity to  congratulate the new Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajia  Saadatu Modibo-Kawu and prayed almighty Allah grant her the grace to take the Ministry to a greater heights.

The matriculation ceremony witnessed oath administration on  the new intakes, by the College  Acting  Registrar, Ms. Eniola Orire and also featured the orientation and sensitization programme in the areas of social media engagement, sexual harassment sensitization, Kwara State Resident Registration Agency (KWASRRA) and other academic matters .

Kwara State Government Promotes Over 2,000 Civil Servants

  The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the release of the 2023 promotion letters to eligible civil servants in the state. The Permanent Secretary of the State Civil Service Commission, Hajia Kifayat Jimoh, disclosed this today, March 6, 2025, in Ilorin, the state capital. According to the Permanent Secretary, a total of 2,094 out of 2,122 candidates who sat for the promotion examination were successful. She expressed the Commission's appreciation to the Governor for graciously approving the distribution of the promotion letters and urged the promoted civil servants to rededicate themselves to service in order to enhance the government's objective of effective service delivery to the people of the state.
