KWGIS: PLEDGES SUPPORT TO PUBLIC COMPLAINT COMMISSION (PPC)



The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Geographic Information Service,  ESV. Abdulkareem Babatunde Sulyman has pledged the support of his Agency to the Public Complaints Commission (PPC) to further strengthen their presence in the State. 

The Chairman stated this during a courtesy visit by the Commission to his office today, describing the visit as timely and assured the commission of his readiness to give full support and maximum cooperation needed in achieving set objectives. 

He added that a robust relationship and synergy had existed between the two Agencies since the inception of the Commission in Kwara, saying the request to give the necessary support in the rebuilding of the Commission's office would be worked on but urged them to submit the plan for the proposed office design for necessary action and approval.

Earlier, the  Commissioner for the Commission, Barrister Olarewaju Falola, commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's administration for the outstanding work in the various sectors of the State and thanked the  Chairman KWGIS for his  prompt response to the matter. 

The Commissioner emphasized the need for a new office, as their current structure is outdated, seeking for the  approval and cooperation of the KWGIS for the rebuilding.  

On his part, the General Manager, Physical Planning and Development Control, Tpl Abdulhakeem Abdulsalam, urged the Commission to ensure that the site plan for the new office is of the highest quality in compliance with the urban renewal embarked upon by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, while emphasizing the importance of presenting a top-notch drawing to facilitate the project. 

Additionally, the State Surveyor General,  Surv.  Timothy A. Afolayan stressed that a thorough survey of the site was necessary before work commenced to guarantee that the structure is placed in an appropriate area, ensuring a successful project outcome. 

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the PPC hand book to the Executive Chairman. 

Also in attendance at the meeting were the Administrative Secretary, KWGIS, Mrs Motunrayo Adaran; Legal Adviser, Barr. Omolara Olubiyi; Deputy Director Urban and Regional Planning,  Tpl Marcus E. Ayobami; Deputy Director Land Services, ESV Olatayo Adekeye; Head of Acquisition KWGIS,  ESV Nuhu Yusuf, among others.
