Kwara Govt Receives Accreditation Team for CAILS


The Kwara State Government has received an accreditation team for the College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS) in Ilorin.

The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. (Mrs) Mary Arinde made this known today in her office while meeting with  the accreditation team from the National Board for Technical Education.

Dr Arinde said the State Government was already prepared to receive the team and ready to improve on any areas identified by the team.
The courses ready for the accreditation are National Diploma in  Mass Communication and National Diploma in Computer Science.

In her remarks, the team leader from the National Board for Technical Education, Dr. Kubura Jawo, appreciated the efforts of the State Government for the giant strides at improving the quality of education in the State.
 
She commended CAILS for the commencement of the National Diploma in Islamic and Common Law, which would also boost the standard of the Institution. She then requested for the confirmation of the substantive Provost and Bursar for the College,  urging the school to commence the Higher National Diploma(HND) programme.

The Acting provost of CAILS, Dr. Saad Hadi thanked the State Government for its commitment to improving quality education in the State and assured the accreditation team of total cooperation for a successful exercise.

Dignitaries at the meeting included the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barrister Sabitiyu Grillo, Director Continuous Education, Elder Babatunde Afolayan; Registrar CAILS, Mall. Afolabi Suleiman; Deputy Provost Barr. Adam Jamiu and other management staff of CAILS, amongst others.
