KW-GIS PLEDGES SUPPORT TO NIS

The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State  Geographic Information Service (KWGIS), ESV. Abdulkareem Babatunde Sulyman has pledged its continuous support to the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS). 

Sulyman gave the assurance while receiving the State Comptroller of the Immigration Service,  Mrs Abolupe Bewaji, and her entourage who paid him a courtesy call.

The Chairman, appreciated the mutual working relationship between the State Government and the  Command in securing the borders, assuring that the Agency would not renege in its support and assistance to ease its operations in the State. He promised that the Agency would look into the requests made by the Command to enhance efficient service delivery.

The State Comptroller of the NIS, in her address, pleaded that the State Government should urgently consider their request to acquire the land directly behind the Command, for further expansion of the Command. This is to adequately accommodate the office needs of their officers.

Bewaji, complained that the present location has been over populated, which has resulted in a precarious situation, whereby most of its officers do not have space to sit and attend to clients. 

She commended the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on his transformation agenda and support to the State Command in the past.

The Comptroller,  however, appealled to the KWGIS,  to assist in securing the little space behind the Command,  for onward transmission to the Command Headquarters for extension. 

Also at the meeting, was the Administrative Secretary, KWGIS, Mrs Motunrayo Adaran, the Agency's Legal Adviser, Bar. Omolara Olubiyi, the Director of Land Services, Esv Abdulwahab AbdulRahman, Director Urban and Regional Planning, Tpl Awolola Ademola, Director Development Control,  Tpl Bola Monkanjuola, the LUAC Secretary,  ESV Moshood Hassan and the Asst. Comptroller,   (HRM), Mr Mobolaji Awe among others.
