CHAIRMAN FRC COMMENDS GOVERNOR ABDULRAZAQ FOR LEGACY PROJECTS
The Chairman of the Kwara State Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC), Barr. Abubakar Othman has commended the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his outstanding legacy projects and tremendous infrastructural development in the State.
Barr. Othman stated this during his visit to the International Conference Centre, Innovation Hub and Kwara Hotel. He commended the level of work at the International Conference Centre and thanked the Governor for his foresight. The Project Manager, QS David Olatunji disclosed that the project had reached an appreciable level after the Government employed the services of a new contractor, the earlier one was sacked due to poor performance. Olatunji explained further that the project would be ready to be commissioned by the middle of next year.
During the visit to the Ilorin Innovation Hub, the Chairman and his team were pleased with the contractor, after seeing the tremendous work. The project which was 90-95% completed, only had the installation of furniture outstanding, after which the project would be handed over to the government for commissioning.
Meanwhile, at the Kwara Hotel, the Chairman and his team were taken round by the Architect handling the project, places visited included; the bureau de change building, bio gas section, botanical garden, auxiliary building, water treatment section and the swimming pool, among others.
Alhaji Abdulganiyu Yusuf, a member of the Commission advised the Architect to be steadfast in order to meet up with the stipulated time for the completion of the project.
