KWSG Commends Staff for Dedication, Teamwork

The Kwara State Council for Arts and Culture has  commended the dedication, teamwork, and exceptional service delivery of its members of staff throughout the year 2024.

The commendation was made during a special prayer session held at the Council's conference room in Ilorin, where the Secretary of the Council, Mr. Aliu Jamiu, applauded the staff for their unwavering commitment and collective effort towards achieving the Council's goals.

He highlighted their remarkable contributions to the Council’s success and expressed his gratitude for their passion and resilience. Mr. Jamiu encouraged the team to maintain the momentum and continue making impactful strides in the promotion and development of the cultural values of Kwara State.

The session served as an opportunity for the Council to reflect on its achievements and re-affirm its commitment to excellence in the coming year.

In her remarks, the Staff Officer of the Council, Mrs Folashade Titiloye urged the staff to be more proactive in their daily activities to achieve the set goals of the Council.

Kwara SUBEB Announces Modalities for Teachers' Recruitment Exercise

 • Applicants to Report at Their Local Government Areas on September 5 The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) wishes to inform the general public that all applicants for its community-based recruitment exercise are required to report to their respective Local Government Areas on Thursday, September 5th, 2024, by 9:00 AM prompt. In addition to new applicants, Kwara SUBEB will also review the applications of individuals who achieved high scores and hold strong qualifications from earlier recruitment exercises. These candidates, who were previously unable to secure positions due to limited quotas in their Local Government Areas or subject areas, will be considered for employment if they are willing to serve in their local communities. Desist from Lifting Students to Coaching Centers- KWSG

Kwara State Government has sounded serious warnings to proprietors of coaching centers across the state, to henceforth desist from lifting students from various schools, under the pretext of preparing them for Seniors Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)or be ready to face the full wrath of law. The Executive Director, Agency for Mass Education, Mallam Saka Yusuf, stated this during a meeting with Executive members, Association of Private Coaching Centers of Nigeria (ASSOPCON) held in his office.  Mallam Saka expressed displeasure that, despite sensitization and advocacy efforts by the Agency, many coaching centers still fail to comply with regulations, thereby lifting students particularly from Junior Secondary School 3, Senior Secondary 1, and Senior Secondary 2 which could eventually derail or jeopardize their future.  He therefore warned perpetrators of such acts to desist forthwith or be ready to face the dire consequences of their actions.
