KWARANS ASSURED OF GOVT'S COMMITMENTS TO DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES

Government has assured Kwarans of it's commitments to develop strategies aimed at ensuring the learning accessibility to every child, across the state.

The Kwara State First Lady and Chairperson, Nigerian Governors' Spouses, Ambassador (Prof) Olufolake AbdulRazaq stated this in Ilorin today, at the handing over of Educational scholastic items, to over 700 (seven hundred) beneficiaries, which cut across 14 public schools in Ilorin south local Government Area of the State, at Government  Secondary school Tanke. 

 Professor Olufolake, who was represented at the occasion by the state Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Dr Afeez Abolore Alabi handed over to the schools include school bags, exercise books, mathematical sets and pair of new school uniforms.

She noted that despite the impactful progress made in the education sector, emphersised the need to improve on supports for girl child education, children, ramp to students with disabilities for ease of movement, adaptive learning tools and more.

The First Lady commended the initiative of Chidimma and Havilah Foundation (CHF), "for the collaborating with the State Government, on the adolescent girls child education service delivery, which dwells in focusing on accessibility, system strengthening, policy advocacies. This forms part of the mission statement, in tandem with Government's 10year strategic development and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

AbdulRazaq who hailed the foundation, for "the human capital development, most especially government efforts towards advancing adolescent girls education, thereby removing barriers to the girl child access to education and contributing to moves towards closing gender gap globally." She concluded.

Earlier, the principal Government Day Senior Secondary School Tanke ilorin Mrs kubura Olumo expressed her profound gratitude to Her Excellency, for paving the way for transformational change and unwavering support for education in the state, which has strengthened the Chidimma and Havilah Foundation (CHF) 

Mrs Olumo also described the thoughtfulness of the foundation as "making remarkable difference in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, which has added values to the commitment to advancing quality education and as well as gender equality."

Kwara SUBEB Announces Modalities for Teachers' Recruitment Exercise

 • Applicants to Report at Their Local Government Areas on September 5 The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) wishes to inform the general public that all applicants for its community-based recruitment exercise are required to report to their respective Local Government Areas on Thursday, September 5th, 2024, by 9:00 AM prompt. In a statement released today by the Acting General Manager of the Agency, Mr. Tajudeen Jimoh in his office stated that the date and the modalities for the registration will be announced in due course.
