Kwara Monthly Environmental Sanitation holds on Saturday

Members of the public are hereby informed that the Monthly Environmental Sanitation exercise for the month of January will come up on Saturday 25th January, 2025 between the hours of seven o'clock and ten o'clock (7:00 am to 10:00 am) in the morning.

Residents across the state are therefore enjoined to fully participate in the exercise, by cleaning both their residential and business environments.

The statement warned members of the public that there will be no vehicular and human movements across the state, during the exercise.

According to the statement signed by the Press Secretary, kwar Kwara State Ministry of Environment, Shakirat Muritala, management trucks will be made available for waste collections and subsequent disposal of same, at government approved dump site. 

"It is an offence punishable under the environmental law to dump refuse on pedestrian walkways, road side, drainages, canals and other unapproved dump sites.

"In the same vein, any attempt to obstruct or deny government officials from carrying out their statutory obligations, will be dealt with accordingly within the ambit of the law.

Desist from Lifting Students to Coaching Centers- KWSG

Kwara State Government has sounded serious warnings to proprietors of coaching centers across the state, to henceforth desist from lifting students from various schools, under the pretext of preparing them for Seniors Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)or be ready to face the full wrath of law.
