Kwara Govt Begins Distribution Of KWASRRA SSID Cards

The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the distribution of the newly innovated State Security Identification Cards (SSID Cards). 

The Acting General Manager of the Agency, Mr. Tajudeen Jimoh stated this in his office today in Ilorin.

Mr Jimoh explained that the Residents Registration Exercise, which was flagged off in the State by the Executive Governor of the State on the 29th of July, 2024, has started yielding the desired results.

“The Agency is pleased to inform the good people of Kwara State that it has started taking delivery of the SSID Cards and the Governor has directed the immediate distribution of the cards to their owners,” he said.

"The distribution which is going to be in batches and free of charge would run concurrently alongside the continuous registration of other categories of Kwara State residents as earlier scheduled."

The General Manager emphasized that the delivery of the cards is a testament to the avowed commitment of the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's led administration in ensuring adequate planning, economic development and social inclusion for all Kwarans.

He therefore enjoined all civil servants whose cards are ready for pickup to approach their various MDAs from Monday, 13th January, 2025 with any valid form of identification such as the Staff ID card, National ID Card, Voter’s Card, International Passport, and Driver’s License. They are also to note that collection by proxy will not be entertained.

Mr Jimoh further enjoined all SUBEB and TESCOM staff in the sixteen Local Government Areas to go to their various offices to pick up their cards as from Monday.

Desist from Lifting Students to Coaching Centers- KWSG

Kwara State Government has sounded serious warnings to proprietors of coaching centers across the state, to henceforth desist from lifting students from various schools, under the pretext of preparing them for Seniors Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)or be ready to face the full wrath of law.
