2024: Special Duties Ministry Recounts Achievements, Pledges Superlative Performance

The Kwara State Ministry of Special Duties has recounted its performance for the year 2024, promising more superlative performance and better service delivery in the new calendar year. 

 The Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Olanrewaju John Bello stated this during the quarterly inter-ministerial press briefing held at the conference room of the Ministry of Finance. He applauded the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support and vision to create the Ministry at the inception of his administration in 2019.

He said, "as a Ministry that is saddled with  intervention responsibilities on every aspect of socio-economic development of the State, we are pleased to report some significant accomplishments in 2024.
 
"We identified an exceptional student, Shalom Adesina, who achieved a remarkable Nine (9) A1 grades all through in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and in recognition of his outstanding performance, the Kwara State Government awarded him a financial assistance of One Million Naira (N1,000,000:00) to support his future academic endeavours."
 
The Commissioner added that the Ministry also conducted an awareness and evaluation programme to create a comprehensive database of Fulani herdsmen in Kwara North.

"In September, 2024, we  acquired essential office equipment and furniture to boost productivity and efficiency, following the approval of our indefatigable Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq."

Hon. Bello however appealed to the state government and relevant agencies for more support for better service delivery especially in the areas of emergency issues such as SEMA and the fire service.

 • Applicants to Report at Their Local Government Areas on September 5 The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) wishes to inform the general public that all applicants for its community-based recruitment exercise are required to report to their respective Local Government Areas on Thursday, September 5th, 2024, by 9:00 AM prompt.
