Rector Provides Year-End Package to Staff, Easing Economic Burdens
In a remarkable move aimed at supporting the efforts of Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq’s administration in improving the living conditions of residents of Kwara State, the Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, has presented end-of-year welfare package to all staff of the institution.
Speaking with the Polytechnic information crew, Abdul who is the first Rector in the history of the over 50-year old institution to kick off such gesture on a yearly basis since his assumption of office in 2019, disclosed that the package was a token of appreciation for the staff's hard work and dedication to the institution.
"We understand the difficulties that many are facing, and it's our responsibility to stand together during these trying times," the Rector stated. "This package is not just a token; it is a commitment to our staff and their families, recognizing their hard work and sacrifices throughout the year."
He also stated that the initiative was part of the institution's efforts designed to help alleviate the effects of the current economic situation on the staff, stressing that his administration in the Polytechnic will always strive to support the government of Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq in ensuring food security in the state through the institution’s commercial farm project.
The staff, who were visibly elated by the gesture, expressed their profound gratitude to the Rector for his kindness and generosity. They praised him for being the first head of the institution to show such concern for their welfare.
According to some staff, the Rector's thoughtful initiative is a testament to the positive change and progress the entire polytechnic have been hoping for, noting that, the Rector has set a precedence for future leaders at the Polytechnic, showcasing the importance of prioritizing staff welfare alongside academic pursuits
