KWASSIP GM Bags POH Award

The General Manager,  Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP), Dr. Abdulwasiu Olayinka Tejidini, has been Awarded the Kwara Public Office Holder, Year 2024 award in the youth category, in recognition of his outstanding performance, in the State.


This was announced at the Annual General Meeting of the Youth Restoration Project (YRP), held at the O2 Arena, Starwood Hotel, Ilorin, Kwara State, over the weekend.


Dr. Tejidini was celebrated for his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedications to the social and economic empowerment of Kwara youths, the vulnerable and downthrodden, commending him for his significant contributions to social development, by making the state a beacon of hope especially the youth.


While accepting the award, Dr. Tejidini who dedicated the award to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) expressed his profound gratitude to His Excellency, for the opportunity given him to serve the state, describing the Governor a visionary leader, for establishing and supporting KWASSIP.


 "I deeply appreciate His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for entrusting me with this significant responsibility. His commitment to youth inclusion in governance and his drive for socioeconomic development are unparalleled. This award is a testament to his belief in the potentials of young people to drive change."


At this juncture, Tejidini extended his appreciation to Youth Restoration Project for deeming it fit of the honor, adding that; "I am humbled by this recognition and will forever be grateful for this. It further inspires me no doubt, to continually serve with Kwara State and Nigeria at large with integrity, passion and dedication, to the ideals of empowering our people."


The management and staff of KWASSIP also felicitated with Dr. Tejidini on this achievement, describing it as a well deserved recognition, of his outstanding contributions to the success programme.


Earlier at the event, the Coordinator of YRP Kwara Chapter, Prince Adetola Adewumi,  commended Governor AbdulRazaq for implementing impactful initiatives such as KWASSIP, and recognizing talents like Dr. Tejidini. 


According to him, "Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to youth inclusion and his visionary appointments, including that of Dr. Tejidini, showcases Kwara State as a leader at empowering young people. This award is therefore a testament to the Governor’s dedication to create a brighter future for our society," he said.


The event highlighted the Governor's emphasis on transparency, integrity and inclusion, thereby positioning Kwara State as a model of progressive governance.

KWASRRA COMMENCES LOCAL GOVERNMENT RESIDENTS REGISTRATION

The Kwara State Residents Registration Agency has commenced registration for the staff of Local Government Areas and farmers across the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State. The second phase of the registration exercise is focused on the registration of the members of Staff of the Local Government Areas (LGA), Local Government Education Authority ( LGEA), Teaching Service Commission ( TESCOM) and farmers across the State.
