GOVT PLEDGES PARTNERSHIP WITH KWARA ENTREPRENEURS

The Kwara State Government has pledged its partnership and support for entrepreneurs and investors to boost the economy of citizens in the State.


The State Commissioner for Youths Development, Amb. Shehu Usman Ndanusa made the pledge while receiving the team from the "Kwara Entrepreneurs and Innovations Support Network", who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.


The Commissioner stressed the importance of the visit, he said job acquisition has diminished, hence, the need for the enlightenment and training of youths for self employment.


Ndanusa appreciated the team and promised partnership, stating that the Ministry would involve the body when needed requesting them to also invite the Ministry whenever they have events.


He further reiterated the government's determination to encourage and support entrepreneurship in the State, with reference to infrastructures, such as the Innovation Hub, Sugar Film Factory, etc. put in place for businesses to thrive.


In her remarks, the Director Personnel Finance and Supply, of the Ministry, Amb. Dr Ajide Adenike Funmilola.  appreciated the team for  their partnership with the Ministry.


Similarly, the Director of Youths in the Ministry, Alhaji Abdulsalam Akeem who encouraged the team to register their organisation with the Ministry in order to have a good relation with the Ministry, enquired if the body was only in Kwara or had branches across the country.


Speaking earlier, the Director of Finance of the organisation, Mr Hafeez Bakarr expressed his gratitude to the Ministry for the warm reception, stating that the organisation was new and on a  familiarization visit to the Ministry. He explained that one of the mandates of the organisation was to develop youths oriented policies.


Finally, Mr Hafeez appreciated the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his commitment to the welfare of Kwarans, disclosing that he was one of the victims of the end SARS misfortune and he received financial support from the Governor.

KWASRRA COMMENCES LOCAL GOVERNMENT RESIDENTS REGISTRATION

The Kwara State Residents Registration Agency has commenced registration for the staff of Local Government Areas and farmers across the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State. The second phase of the registration exercise is focused on the registration of the members of Staff of the Local Government Areas (LGA), Local Government Education Authority ( LGEA), Teaching Service Commission ( TESCOM) and farmers across the State.
