FREE TRANSPORTATION: KWSG REITERATES COMMITMENT TO CITIZENS’ WELFARE

The Kwara State Government has  reiterated that it would continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the citizens receive the support they need to thrive, adding that the free transport palliative is a testament to the government's dedication to the welfare of its citizens and reassured that it will continue to provide support and relief to those who need it most.


The Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, stated this today in her office, revealing that thousands of residents have benefited from the free transport palliative on weekly basis since its launch, while over 500,000 kilometers of transportation have been covered since the commencement of this phase of the free transport initiative thereby providing relief to citizens within Ilorin metropolis as well as demonstrating the State Government’s commitment to supporting residents in Kwara State.


Hon. Damilola stressed that the free transport initiative is a response to the current economic challenges and an initiative which the State Government introduced to alleviate the burden of transportation cost on citizens.


The Commissioner noted that the Kwara State  Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has remained committed to the citizenry by providing various kinds of relief initiatives during  challenging times, reiterating that the free transport palliative has benefited thousands of citizens across Ilorin, the state capital. 


She stated that the Ministry has received an overwhelming positive feedback regarding the initiative, saying that many residents have expressed their gratitude to the State Government for supporting them during these challenging times.

KWASRRA COMMENCES LOCAL GOVERNMENT RESIDENTS REGISTRATION

The Kwara State Residents Registration Agency has commenced registration for the staff of Local Government Areas and farmers across the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State. The second phase of the registration exercise is focused on the registration of the members of Staff of the Local Government Areas (LGA), Local Government Education Authority ( LGEA), Teaching Service Commission ( TESCOM) and farmers across the State.
