KWSG REAFFIRMS ITS COMMITMENT TO EMPOWERING LOCAL COMMUNITIES

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering Local Communities for economic growth in the State. 


The Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, stated this while receiving the Executives of Kwara State Artisans Congress who paid a courtesy visit to her office.


Hon. Damilola commended the Executives for their contributions to the State's economy and cultural heritage, assuring them of the Ministry’s willingness to support the artisans.


The Commissioner emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation in deriving economic growth of the State and noted that these form a good basis for a fruitful partnership with the Ministry, inviting the Congress to participate in the forthcoming edition of Kwara Trade Fair in December, 2024.


Earlier, the State President, Kwara State Artisans Congress, Alhaji Jimoh Ayinla Adeshina, thanked the State Government for the unconditional love and support, which have enabled members to benefit from various empowerment programmes provided by the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration as well as making available job opportunities for members in the ongoing projects in the State. 


The  President appreciated the warmed reception accorded them and thanked the Commissioner for attending the Beauty and Cosmetology Annual Programme organized by the Congress, reiterating the need for collaboration with the Ministry to further improve the Congress.


He added that fostering a collaborative relationship with the State Government will further promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the State.
