The Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA) is set to commence resident registration for students and pensioners across the 16 Local Government Areas of the State.
In a statement released today by the Acting General Manager of the Agency, Mr. Tajudeen Jimoh in his office stated that the date and the modalities for the registration will be announced in due course.
Mr. Jimoh disclosed that the Agency's website would soon be launched which will allow the registrants to login, fill in the required information and visit any KWASRRA centres for capturing and thumbprint, adding that this innovation would help to save time and makes the registration easier.
The statement further added that the mop-up exercise organized by the Agency, which was aimed at ensuring that all civil servants that missed the previous arrangements, were not left out has been concluded.
"Following the completion of registration for Civil Servants, Local Governments Staff, Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB), and Farmers across the 16 Local Governments of the State, the Agency also organized mop-up exercise in designated centres to ensure that all Civil Servants were captured", the Ag. GM said.
Mr. Jimoh disclosed that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has directed the presence of KWASRRA in the 16 Local Government Areas of the state on a permanent basis.
"Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has given priority attention to the well-being of Kwarans and has decided to bring the registration to their doorstep", the KWASRRA boss added.
According to him, the innovation is to bring ease to the residents of Kwara and allow them to register in their local government of origin.

The peculiarities of pensioners should be taken into consideration before the commencement of the registration. Let each pensioner register online ot at the local government of choice. Efforts should be made to ensure that there is a minimum physical and stressful discomfort for the pensioners.
