The Kwara State Commissioner for Youths Development, Hon. Shehu Ndanusa Usman has reiterated the support of the State government to the National Association of Uniformed Voluntary Organizations (NAUVO) in Nigeria, commending them for helping youths in nation building.

The Commissioner who made this commendation today, during the organization's visit to his office, applauded the National Coordinator of the organization for their visit to the State, while drumming the support of the Ministry to the organization.

He emphasized that the Ministry already has mutually beneficial working relationships with many voluntary organizations in the State and recommended having different voluntary organizations such as the Boys Scout and Man 'O' War in secondary schools as it was in the past, which in a way helped instil fear and discipline in students.

Hon. Ndanusa promised to relay the organization's message of continued support to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, while commending the Governor for giving them the avenue to thrive.

Earlier, the National Coordinator of the organization, Amb. Abraham Kwaghfor, expressed gratitude for the warm reception given to them, noting that a resolution has been made by the national body to work on taking volunteerism to the next level, to build a nation where youths are armed with enough experience to embark on different phases of life.

He stressed that resolution on volunteerism will help create synergy with the government as a way to include voluntary organizations in nation building.

The highlight of the meeting was the decoration of the Commissioner and conferment of the title of "a National Ambassador" to him for his outstanding roles in youths affairs nationwide.

Present at the meeting were management staff of the Ministry and some cadet officers of the voluntary organizations.
