KWSG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO EDEMORUN OF KAJOLA

The Kwara State Government today presented a Fourth Class Staff of Office to the newly appointed Edemorun of Kajola in Oke-Ero Local Government, HRH, Oba Johnson Olajide Kehinde.
 
In his speech at the presentation ceremony, Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq encouraged the new monarch to be sensitive to his people’s needs, lead them with empathy, equity and fear of God.

Governor AbdulRazaq, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Community Development, Hon. Abdullahi Abubakar Bata, who administered the oath of office to the new Edemorun, reiterated the huge respect and reverence that the present administration accords traditional institutions in the state. 

The governor noted that their wisdom and experiences are essential in maintaining peace and stability in the state, expressing government’s commitment to further strengthen economic advancement, healthcare, and other social services, which will, in turn, provide an enabling environment for prosperity.

AbdulRazaq enjoined the monarch to work together with his people by ensuring that he is always ready not only to lead but also to provide solutions for them. 

“As the Royal Father of Kajola in Oke-Ero Local Government, your role transcends beyond the boundaries of Kajola. You will be the representative of our collective heritage and culture. I have faith that you will serve as a beacon of hope and progress”, the Governor said.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Iyabo Modupe Adekeye, who congratulated the new monarch and the good people of Kajola, applauded the kingmakers for a job well done without any rancour or disrupt of peace and stability in their community.

Mrs. Adekeye further added that the monarch's suggestions and advice will enhance the development of the state while also making assurances that the Ministry’s doors are wide open for any deliberation or discussion that will help the state in general.

Hon. Olajire Bamgboye, a member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, representing Oke-Ero constituency, who spoke on behalf of the people of Kajola, appreciated the state government for giving room for a non-biased selection of the new Edemorun and also expressed their readiness to always support government in whatever capacity.

In his acceptance speech, the new Edemorun appreciated the state government on his appointment and its non interference in the selection process. 

He promised to lead his people to greatness while also assuring the state government of their maximum support, adding that he will use his wisdom to always unite his people through justice, equity, and fear of God.

The monarch had earlier been presented with his letter of appointment by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftainacy Affairs, and Community Development at the Conference room of the Ministry, which was well attended by the sons and daughters of Kajola Community.
