KWSG DISTRIBUTES FOOD ITEMS TO WIDOWS, VULNERABLE WOMEN

As part of measures to cushion the effects of the present economic downturn, the Kwara State Government has distributed food items to over 100 vulnerable women and widows in the State.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Opeyemi Oluwakemi Afolashade, who supervised the distribution of the food items at the Ministry's Headquarters recently, commended the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for sponsoring the programme and for his continued efforts at making life bearable for all, particularly, vulnerable women.
The Commissioner appealed to members of the public to be patient with the present administration, explaining that the government is working round the clock to fix the economy and cushion the effects of subsidy removal.
Hon. Afolashade highlighted several laudable programmes by the AbdulRazaq-led administration, which are aimed at making life meaningful to the citizens, most especially, women and children.
In her remarks, one of the beneficiaries, Motunrayo Ayodele, expressed her gratitude to the Governor for the kind gesture, saying that they would remain grateful to the State Government.
Another beneficiary, Khadijat AbdulRahman, explained that the Governor's kind gesture would go a long way in reducing the financial burden on their households.
