Kwara Govt to Collaborate with Stakeholders on Urban Development
The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to enhancing urban development in the State through collaborations with relevant stakeholders, individuals and organizations.
The Commissioner for Youths Development, Amb. Shehu Usman Ndanusa stated this while speaking with members of the Kwara State Phone, Computer and Accessories Dealers Association today in his office.
The Commissioner who noted that the government is open to collaborations and synergies from every sector to make its goals and objectives for the State a reality, charged the organization to cooperate with the State government by executing their roles perfectly.
According to him "the government has engaged in massive urban development which will cut across every sector of the State."
He said the Phone, Computer and Accessories Dealers Association should take the cue and position themselves well to work hand in hand with the State government in actualizing the project of urban renewal.
The Commissioner stressed that the construction of the International Conference Centre, ICT Hub, Ilorin Film Factory, among others are all part of the developmental strides the government is putting in place to create more job opportunities for youths.
The organization's Chairman, Alao Semiu, who commended the State government for embarking on the urban renewal development, and the construction of state-of-the-art facilities, requested for a computer village, where all members of the organization can do their businesses.
He noted that having a place of their own will create more job opportunities for youths and generate revenue for the State.
