KWARA GOVT REITERATES COMMITMENT TO TERTIARY EDUCATION

The Kwara State government has successfully facilitated the absorption of 105 Kwara State University's Law Students who were previously denied admission to the Nigerian law School by the Council on legal Education in Nigeria due to non-accreditation issues, which had since been amicably resolved.
  
The Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Ronke Arinde stated this while reiterating the State government's commitment towards effective service delivery across tertiary institutions in the State 

Dr. Arinde made this known during the quarterly inter- ministerial press briefing organised by the Ministry of Communications in ilorin on Wednesday.

The Commissioner revealed that the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration had invested hugely in tertiary institutions across the State, part of which is the ongoing construction of the Kwara State University's satellite campuses at Osi and Ilesha-Baruba, which have both attained 90% completion.

Dr. Arinde also mentioned that approval had been secured from the National Universities Commission(NUC) for the establishment of the Kwara State University of Education in Ilorin. 

She applauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the recent appointment of Professor Medinat Folorunsho Salman as the pioneer Acting Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University of Education.

The Commissioner assured that Prof. Salman will no doubt justify the confidence reposed in her and offer her wealth of experience in the successful smooth running of the newly established university of Education in the State.

Dr. Arinde also highlighted numerous giant strides through which the present administration had invested in the tertiary education sector, part of which is the several approval and release of funds for sponsorship of scholarships abroad to Kwara youths in tertiary institutions for higher learning and professional advancements. 

The Commissioner however admonished all heads of tertiary institutions in the State to compliment government's investment with enhanced, efficient and effective service delivery in the learning methodology and administration that would lift the various citadels of learning to greater heights.

KWSG Charges Traditional Medicine Practitioners on Standard

The Kwara State Government today charged Traditional Medicine Practitioners to always maintain Standard practices, to enhance a healthy society, for the benefits of all.
