• says affected spots not on Idiagbon flyover

Kwara State Ministry of Water Resources has said some of its pipes that crisscross the University of Ilorin Road around the Tunde Idiagbon Bridge have rusted and would be replaced in the coming days.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry said the pipes are found to be leaking water to the surface of the road, partially affecting a small portion of the new road.

“Our engineers are working with the Ministry of Works and Transport to address the issue. In the interim, water supply will be disconnected in the axis. We regret the inconveniences to our customers,” the statement said.

"The spots affected are not anywhere close to the Flyover."

Areas affected in the water disconnection are the University of Ilorin permanent site; Sanrab area; part of Fate/Tanke
Tanke LGEA community;
Abule nla; F Division; and Oke Onigbin area.
