Olukoju Makes PR Power List
The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju, has made the prestigious Public Relations (PR) Power List 2024 for her outstanding contributions to the PR and communications industries both in Nigeria and abroad.
This was contained in a statement released today, in the Commissioner's office.
According to the statement signed by the Ministry's Press Secretary, Ahmed, Abeeb Oredunni, the list was published in The Guardian newspaper of today (16/07/2024) by the Managing Partner of GLG Communications, Omowumi Ogbe.
Ogbe disclosed that; "The PR Power List is an initiative of GLG Communications, in collaboration with The Guardian, to honour Nigeria’s top 50 most excellent professionals in PR and communications. This initiative coincides with the World PR Day, which is being celebrated annually, in over 60 countries, on July 16. This year’s list include both familiar faces and new entrants who have distinguished themselves over the past year." She added.
Ogbe explained further that, the list comprises four categories, they are; Changemakers, Rising Voices, Community Impacts, and Fourth Estate, adding that, Olukoju was recognized in the Rising Voices category, which is reserved for emerging leaders, demonstrating exceptional talent and innovation.
It would be recalled that, until her appointment last year as the Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Olukoju, was the Director of Communications for NewGlobe, the consultants in charge of KWARALEARN project.
Further to this, Hon. Olukoju is a PR, Marketing and Communications expert, with over 17 years of experience, building brands, providing strategic communications, changing perceptions, creating content and impacting the digital space both locally and internationally, across various industries.
In his reaction, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad, described the recognition as "well-deserved given her exceptional knowledge in the field of communications and public relations.
According to him, Mohammad noted that; "Since her assumption of office, she has demonstrated professionalism and astuteness in her duties. Given her wide knowledge in the field of communications and haven worked with her for almost a year now, I have no doubt she merited the recognition.
In his comment, the state Director of Information Services, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Atere, appraised Olukoju, saying the recognition is "a testament to her dedication and hard work."
In his remarks, the Director of Public Orientation, Alhaji Jimoh Salau, attributed the recognition to "her long-term dedication and commitments to promoting and supporting the PR and communications industry. I therefore congratulate the Commissioner on her well-deserved award.
