OFFICIAL FLAG-OFF OF KWARTMA OPERATIONS IN KWARA SOUTH: OLODODO TASKS OFFICERS TO BE CIVIL WITH MEMBERS OF PUBLIC, SEE THE JOB AS A SOCIAL SERVICE

The Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA) has extended its scope of operations to Kwara South with its Area Command Office in Offa today Thursday 18th July, 2024.

Recall that the Kwara State Government had been urged to recruit more personnel for KWARTMA to enable it to extend its services to other major towns and cities in the State, in the motion moved on the floor of Kwara State House of Assembly in order to ease traffic congestion and ensure safety on our roads.


Earlier In his welcome address, the Ag. Chief Executive Officer of KWARTMA, Engineer Bamidele Michael appreciated His Execellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, the Executive Governor of Kwara State for the supports given to the Authority to work effectively within the State particularly with the extension of the Authority's services to Kwara South with the hope that the service will be extended to other parts of Kwara in the nearest future. He further sought for the cooperation of Offa community as well as other sister agencies to enhance safety on our roads. He remarked that traffic impediments at some traffic prone areas will be tamed with professionalism by the Authority.


While making his good will message the Honorable Commissioner for Works and Transport, Hon. Abdulquawiy Olododo who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Alhaji Muhammed A. Mao, commended the Executive Governor of Kwara State Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for deeming it right to rehabilitate some road networks in Offa and other parts of the state, he charged the officers of the Authority to be civil with members of the communities and Kwarans by extension. He also implored them to make all phone contacts open and work with other security organizations to enhance better and quality service.

 Also in the good will message delivered by Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammed the Acting Kwara State Head of Service, he posited that effective traffic management system minimizes transportation cost and saves time, he advised the management of KWARTMA to double their efforts and uphold outlined work ethics while upscaling their operations for better service delivery.

Present at the event were the Services Chiefs from the Nigeria police force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, the Directorate of State Services and the Federal Road Safety Corps. Also at the occasion was the representative of Olofa of Offa, High Chief Isiaka Adebayo Shitu, the Asalofa of Offa and some major 
stakeholders in transport management including the the the State Chairman NURTW, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Ariwoola, the Chairman Association of Independent Transporters, Alhaji Abdulganiy Omo-ola( KASMAG MOTORS), others are the DPM Offa Local Government Council, the Iyaloja and Babaloja of Offa community.

Kwara SUBEB Announces Modalities for Teachers' Recruitment Exercise

 • Applicants to Report at Their Local Government Areas on September 5 The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) wishes to inform the general public that all applicants for its community-based recruitment exercise are required to report to their respective Local Government Areas on Thursday, September 5th, 2024, by 9:00 AM prompt. In addition to new applicants, Kwara SUBEB will also review the applications of individuals who achieved high scores and hold strong qualifications from earlier recruitment exercises.
