KWSG Commends Nigerians in Diaspora for Renovation of Egbejila PHC


The Kwara State Government has expressed its appreciation to the Nigerians in Diaspora for the renovation of the Egbejila Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) in Ilorin.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-lmam, made the commendation on Friday while commissioning the newly renovated primary health care centre at Egbejila Community.

The Commissioner reiterated the efforts of the Kwara State Government in the extensive renovation of health care centres across the state. "Just recently, the State Government commissioned the Alapa PHC, Ago Oja PHC, Magajingari PHC, among others," she noted.

She expressed the State Government’s delight in receiving support from concerned Nigerians who have contributed to enhancing the quality of health care services in the state.


In his remarks, the Executive President of Nurses Across the Borders International, Pastor Petter Omoragbon, thanked the State Government for its support in ensuring the timely completion of the project and promised more development projects in the state.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the community, Alhaji Mohammed Alade, thanked the State Government for the regular medical outreaches at the centre and the provision of dedicated health workers at Egbejila PHC, which has brought relief to the community.

Dignitaries at the event included the Permanent Secretary of the Kwara State Ministry of Health, Hajia Afusat Ibrahim; the State Director of Nursing, Hajia Aminat Ahman; traditional leaders; donors from the Diaspora; and community members.
