Global Fund Donates Vehicles to Kwara Health Ministry

Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-lmam receiving the vehicles on behalf of the ministry, from the representative of the donor, yesterday.


With the aim of complementing government efforts at facilitating quality health service delivery, to the people of Kwara State, the Global Fund has donated 2 Toyota Four-wheel drive utility vehicles to the state Ministry of Health.

Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-Imam took delivery of the vehicles during the week, at the ministry headquarters, Fate, Ilorin. 

El-Imam disclosed that, State Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Buruli Ulcer Control Programme, as well as the
State HIV/AIDS Control Programme, are direct
beneficiaries of the vehicles

The Commissioner however appreciates the foreign donor, through Federal Ministry of Health and Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria ( IHVN) for their kind gesture and service to humanity.

Those at the handing over ceremony were; the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Hajjia Afusat Adenike Ibrahim and Heads of Directorates in the ministry. Others are; the Programme Manager of the State Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme, Dr FATIMA LAWAL-LAH, the State coordinator, HIV/AIDS Control Programme, Dr Muhammed Oyeniyi and other principal staff of the Ministry.
