COMMISSIONER REITERATES SUPPORT FOR KWACReSAL

The Kwara State Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Buge has reiterated her readiness to always support and provide guidance for Kwara Agro-climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (KWACReSAL), to ensure the implementation and success of the project in the State.

The Commissioner, who is also the Chairman, State Steering Committee of the project, reiterated this of recent, when she paid a courtesy visit to the ACReSAL' s Office in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital.

Hajia Buge commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for being a peoples' Governor, striving to always achieve deliverable tasks for the betterment of his people.

According to her; "He is a man who is passionate about his people. A people oriented Governor, who is motivated to deliver. In view of this, we must also work together to achieve the mission of His Excellency, with the aim of achieving the goals of the project."

She enjoined the ACReSAL team to intensify efforts at actualizing the project objectives, assuring them of necessary supports, for proper execution.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Dr. Abubakar Ayinla emphasized the fact that ACReSAL is a gateway to supporting the State Government through the line Ministries, such as; Water Resources, Agriculture and Environment, with relevant activities and objectives, to further enhance the developing of Kwara State.

Earlier in his welcome address, the State Project Coordinator, Kwara ACReSAL, Alhaji Shamsideen Aregbe explained that the project has a lot in common with the mandates of core Ministries and assured the Commissioner of the State Project Management Unit's (SPMU) commitment to discharging their duties effectively, by creating an enabling environment for the growth and development of the state.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of ACReSAL souvenir and documents to the Commissioner.

On the Commissioner's entourage were: Directors from the Ministry of Environment, as well as management and principal staff of the Ministry.

Kwara SUBEB Announces Modalities for Teachers' Recruitment Exercise

 • Applicants to Report at Their Local Government Areas on September 5 The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) wishes to inform the general public that all applicants for its community-based recruitment exercise are required to report to their respective Local Government Areas on Thursday, September 5th, 2024, by 9:00 AM prompt. In addition to new applicants, Kwara SUBEB will also review the applications of individuals who achieved high scores and hold strong qualifications from earlier recruitment exercises. These candidates, who were previously unable to secure positions due to limited quotas in their Local Government Areas or subject areas, will be considered for employment if they are willing to serve in their local communities.
