KWSG CHARGES PRINCIPALS, TEACHERS ON DILIGENCE AND PRODUCTIVITY

The Kwara State Government has again charged Principals and Teachers  across the state to shun indolence while discharging their duties in order to enhance productivity at work.

The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu, gave the charge yesterday during her visit to selected schools in Ilorin to monitor students writing Biology Practical, in the National Examinations Council (NECO) and Mathematics in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). 
       
The Commissioner stressed the need for principals and teachers of the schools across the state to avoid all actions capable of hindering learning outcomes, adding that the visit was to monitor the ongoing Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by the NECO and the ongoing BECE for Junior Secondary School 3 students. 

She urged them to be steadfast and committed to their legitimate duties with a view to reciprocating the kind gesture of the present administration, while assuring them of the State government’s support to ensure conducive working environment in schools to realize government's intention in revamping the education sector. 

Hajia Modibbo therefore charged the students that are writing the Senior School Certificate Examination (Internal) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the schools she visited to reciprocate the gesture by staying off any behaviour that may dim their future careers.

The Principal of Mount Carmel College, Oloje, Ilorin, Mr. Olaoye Benedict, applauded the good work of the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration in rewriting the story of the education sector in Kwara State, urging the State government to come to their aid, to help renovate the dilapidated buildings in the school in order to avoid over population of students in the classrooms as well as completion of the perimeter fence, to prevent their students from loitering during school hours. 

The school visited were Mount Carmel College, Oloje, Ilorin and Ansarul Islam Secondary School, Ogidi, Ilorin, Kwara State.

Movement Restriction in Kwara as Monthly Sanitation Exercise holds on Saturday

This is to inform members of the public that the sanitation exercise for the month of September, 2024, will come up on Saturday 28th between 7:00 am and 10:00 am. Residents of the State are enjoined to participate in the exercise by cleaning their residential and business environments. It is also mandatory for all residents to clear drainages and bushes around their surroundings for health and safety reasons.  There will be no vehicular movement across the state within the three-hour duration of the exercise.
