Health System in Kwara, Better and More Responsive - Commissioner

The Kwara State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Raji Razaq has affirmed that the health system put in place by the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is better and more responsive. 

The Commissioner made the affirmation in Ilorin at the Children Specialist Hospital, Centre-Igboro, while addressing the Management, Staff and parents of Children accessing the medical facility.

Dr. Razaq charged the health workers to design their itinerary in order to accommodate the increasing number of patients, who now prefer to access care at the dedicated Children Hospital in the State. 

"Mind you, they now prefer Centre-Igboro because our Governor has changed the narratives, so you must represent the Government well by making yourself accessible and available to provide qualitative medical services", he stated.

The Commissioner, who took his time to listen to complaints from both the health workers and patients relations, equally rejoiced with the staff on the salary increase, following the implementation of the consequential adjustments for the new minimum wage.

"You need to give more in return for what government has done to improve your welfare. 

... just as we have addressed the infrastructural deficits in your facility, we shall attend to all your area of needs. Our Government is more responsive", Dr. Razaq further said.

The visiting team was received by the Medical Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Mosunmola Folorunsho, who appreciated the State Government and gave more insights to the initiatives undertaken at the facility level to make health-care delivery service seamless.  

The medical team, led by the Commissioner, Dr. Raji Razaq was in the hospital as part of the routine monitoring and evaluation process to access utilization of the facility, following the recent renovation by the present administration and identify gaps militating effective service delivery.
