Govt Charges Residents to Report TB Cases
The Kwara State Government has charged residents of Asa Local Government Area to be proactive by promptly reporting suspected cases of Tuberculosis (TB) within their communities, to nearest health facilities, as a stitch in time saves nine. The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, gave this charge during the week, at the official investiture program for the TB Champion of Asa LGA, held at the Aisha Buhari Mother and Child Hospital, Eyenkorin, in Asa Local Government Areas of the state. El-Imam emphasized the critical need for Asa LGA to lead in identifying and reporting TB cases, noting that proactive case detection is vital in tackling the public health challenges posed by the disease.
