KWASRRA Urges Pensioners to Send Details by SMS, No Physical Visit Required

The Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA) has advised all State pensioners who did not receive their May 2025 pension payments to lodge their complaints via SMS, stating that there is no need to visit the agency’s office physically. This follows multiple complaints from affected pensioners after the disbursement of May pensions. To ensure swift resolution, KWASRRA has introduced a simple and secure SMS-based process. Affected pensioners are advised to send the following information via SMS only to the dedicated number 08032059986 : Full Name Verification Number Pension Number Account Number and Bank Name National Identification Number (NIN) KWASRRA SSID Number Pensioners who may have misplaced or lost their KWASRRA SSID can retrieve it online by visiting www.kwasrra.ng/register/validate and entering their National Identification Number (NIN). KWSG Seeks Partnership with FMHPR to Strengthen Social Protection Systems

In a bid to strengthen social protection systems in the state, the Kwara State Government has sought partnership with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian and Poverty Reduction, saying this will also boost opportunities for the vulnerable population in the state. The State Commissioner for Social Development, Hajia Mariam Nnafatima Imam PhD, sought the partnership recently during a familiarisation visit to the office of the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, in Abuja. KWSG Commences 10-Day Intensive Training for 50 Frontline Healthcare Workers across 16 LGAs

In a bid to further reduce the maternal and neonatal mortality rate across the state, the Kwara State Government through the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, with support from United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and other partners, has commenced a 10-Day intensive training for 50 frontline healthcare workers across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state.  The Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Prof. Nusirat Elelu, stated this recently during the official opening ceremony of the 10-Day training, which commenced on Monday 26th May, 2025 and will end on Wednesday, 4th June, 2025, at Peace Hotel and Suites, Tanke, Ilorin.  The Executive Secretary noted that the training will ensure that all participants improve their knowledge on emergency obstetrics and newborn care, which is a testament to the state government’s commitment to increase the indices of quality services to the citizens. KWSG Releases Stella Obasanjo Multi-Purpose Hall for Women Empowerment

In a bid to enhance productivity at Stella Obansanjo Multi-Purpose Hall in Ilorin, the Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Women Affairs, has released the Hall to the Team from Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development in order to promote women empowerment and participation in Kwara State.
