The Kwara State Government, in collaboration with development partners, will commence the In-Between Round Immunization Activity (IBRA) across 1,014 settlements in 128 wards of the state from Thursday, July 2 to Sunday, July 5, 2026, as part of efforts to close immunity gaps and interrupt the transmission of poliovirus. The Kwara State Government has carried out a special intervention to remove vulnerable persons with mental health conditions from major streets and public places across Ilorin metropolis as part of its ongoing efforts to promote public safety, environmental sanitation, and the welfare of vulnerable persons. The Kwara State Ministry of Social Development, in collaboration with the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS), has conducted a two-day Monitoring, Evaluation and Enforcement Exercise on Crèche Registration Compliance across the Ilorin metropolis. The exercise, which took place from June 23 to 24, 2026, was aimed at ensuring compliance with crèche registration requirements among schools and childcare centres providing services for children between the ages of 0 and 6 years. The Kwara State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for the month of June will come up on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 across the state between the hours of seven o'clock and ten o'clock (7:00am to 10:00am) in the morning.  This announcement was contained in a statement issued from the Office of the state Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge.
